Windows SmartScreen may warn you. This preview build is not yet code-signed (our code-signing setup is in progress). Before running it, check that you downloaded the installer from this site and that its checksum matches the SHA-256 above — in PowerShell, run Get-FileHash EasyWriter-0.1.0-Setup.exe. If it matches, it is safe to click More info → Run anyway.

Installing

Run the installer. It installs to your user profile — no administrator rights needed.
Launch Easy Writer, pick a theme, and open the sample project to look around.
Your projects are single .ewriter files (double-click to open) — or plain folders of text files if you prefer working under version control.

Upgrading & uninstalling

Run a newer installer over an existing install and it upgrades in place — your projects and settings are untouched. Uninstall any time from Windows Settings ▸ Apps; your project files are never deleted.

Early access means early. Easy Writer is in active development. Backups matter to us: the app snapshots your project automatically on every open, keeps version history, and recovers cleanly from crashes — but do keep copies of work you can't lose, as you would with any preview software.
